Get Involved - Facilitate an Interview

 What is the role of the facilitator in the interview?

  • Explain the interview process overall

  • Walk through the consent paperwork

  • Operate and monitor the recording equipment

  • Prompt the interviewer if needed to keep the conversation flowing

What is the time commitment required?

We ask that volunteers can commit to 1-3 interviews per month.

Do I need any previous experience working on an oral history project?

No previous experience is necessary, but please note that you will be required to attend a training at Princeton Public Library to learn more about oral history and how to facilitate an interview.
