Title

Oral History Interview with Barbara Suomi

Description

Barbara Suomi moved to Princeton in 1973, the year her oldest child was born. All three of her children attended UNOW Day Nursery throughout the 1970s & ‘80s. She remembers UNOW fondly and was impressed by their philosophy, quality of teachers, and compassionate environment. She was especially appreciative that they provided child care until 6:00pm and remembers it being one of the only places that did so. She also recalls that many people were critical and disapproving of children being in child care all day, but that her children loved UNOW so much they didn’t want to leave at the end of the day.
