Oral History with Karen Comins

Karen Comins and Erika Gilfether discuss Karen’s long career as a preschool teacher at University NOW Day Nursery (UNOW ) on the campus of Princeton University. Karen began working at UNOW in 1986 and over the years has seen the school grow and evolve from six classrooms into the 14 classroom it hosts today. Karen reflects on what has changed and what has not. Considering what has kept bringing her back after various breaks for raising children, Karen says, “I kept coming back because people care what you think.”
