Oral History with Mulin Huan

Mulin Huan, a sophomore at Princeton High School (PHS), recalls first hearing about the COVID-19 pandemic on Chinese news media. As a Chinese American, Mulin notes that he has long kept up with both Chinese and American news sources, something that continues through the pandemic. Once PHS shut down, he notes that it was a big adjustment to move to remote learning. In his free time, Mulin is gardening more. He reflects that the pandemic seems to have brought people together, but he was disappointed by the response of national and other government entities not responding quickly enough to the crisis. Mulin wants people in the future not to underestimate pandemics. He looks forward to getting together with friends and going to amusement parks when this is all over.
