Oral History with Nicholas van der Schaar

Princeton High School (PHS) student Nicholas van der Schaar shares how he had heard about the coronavirus in early 2020, but only when PHS shut down in mid-March did it feel like a local emergency. He notes that every day now feels like a Saturday because he has a lot of free time, even with remote learning. Nicholas says that things feel uneasy in Princeton, both because of the virus and Black Lives Matter protests. He hopes that 2021 can be a more normal year and that people in the future will appreciate freedom of movement and can enjoy feeling comfortable and relaxed.
