Oral History with Harriette Brainard

Harriette Brainard discusses her family’s history and the stories of her parents, as well as memories of growing up in the area. She attended Princeton Day School and played several sports. She shares her impressions and enjoyment of Princeton as a young student. Harriette left the area for several years for college and other pursuits, then moved back in the early 1990s and reconnected with many of her acquaintances from childhood. She coached and refereed at Princeton Day School and opened a farm to table restaurant in Princeton in the late 1990s. Harriette left the area again in 2004 and returned in 2016. She also discusses her recent work on environmental protection and reconnecting with the Princeton community.
